The Bold & The Beautiful Monday 2/17/2020
Episode 1
Time of Day: New Day; Morning
At Il Giardino, Hope is sitting at a table. She is having a cup of coffee and looking through past designs from the Hope For The Future line. As she takes another sip from her coffee, and sets the cup back down in front of her, someone walks up to her table.
HOPE: I’ll take more coffee. Thank you.
LIAM: I was hoping you’d let me sit down first.
Hope looks up from her tablet.
HOPE: Liam…, what are you doing here? I thought that you’d be at work.
LIAM: We need to talk, Hope.
HOPE: Okay. About…?
LIAM: Thomas. He’s clearly up to his old tricks again.
HOPE: Yeah, I fear that too.
At the Forrester Mansion, in the Living Room, Quinn enters the room and sighs. She walks over to the balcony doors and looks at the beautiful landscape in front of her. During this, she begins to become deep in thought.
(DAYDREAMING)
Brooke and Quinn are standing in the living room.
BROOKE: You, bitch! How could you spike my drink?!
QUINN: Brooke, you have no idea what you’re talking about.
Then, Eric enters.
ERIC: I know everything, Quinn. Brooke’s telling the truth.
QUINN: No! No! I didn’t do this! I would never!
Brooke goes up to Quinn and slaps her.
BROOKE: Shut up!
(END OF DAYDREAMING)
Quinn comes out of her thoughts and she is clearly thrown from them. Eric enters the room and goes up to her. Quinn turns around.
ERIC: Quinn, are you okay?
Quinn blankly stares at him, unsure of what to say.
At Forrester Creations, in the CEO Office, Brooke is sitting at the conference table. She is going over old formulas from her days in the lab, making the BeLieF formula. She comes across a press release for the new formula. It includes an old photo of her and Ridge. She smiles at the photo. Then, Thomas abruptly enters the room.
THOMAS: Have you seen my dad?
BROOKE: (standing) Thomas, thank you for knocking.
THOMAS: I don’t care about that. Where’s my dad? (looks down and sees the file) Or, are you just reminiscing too much about the past to know where anyone is?
BROOKE: If you must know, Ridge is currently on a golf course. He decided to take a much needed day off. And, I haven’t seen or heard from him all day.
THOMAS: You sure that you didn’t push him off a cliff or anything?
BROOKE: Thomas, what do you want anyway? Don’t you have some work of your own to do today? It’s bad enough that all of us have to bare your presence around here everyday. The least you could do is leave me alone.
THOMAS: I probably should. For my own safety, of course. Brooke, I wanted to talk to my dad about planning a trip to go see my mother in Paris. I thought that he might like to come along. After all, maybe they could reconnect again. Maybe they could get close, and go in for a nice, long kiss. Wouldn’t that be nice?
BROOKE: You’re sick.
Then, a woman wearing a tight black dress and a pair of red bottom heels enters the room. She shuts the door behind her.
WOMAN: That might’ve been the case a few months ago, Brooke. But, now, oh now, I think my son is completely sane.
Brooke and Thomas look over at the woman. It’s Taylor!
Back at the Forrester Mansion, in the Living Room, Quinn moves passed Eric and walks over to the couch. Eric turns around.
QUINN: (sighs) Yes, I’m fine. Just fine. I...I...I just had a nightmare last night and I was still thinking about it. It really threw me last night.
ERIC: I’m very sorry about that. Maybe you and Shauna should spend some time together. You two could have a nice breakfast at a restaurant, on me.
QUINN: I thought that you didn’t like Shauna. And, you sided with Brooke about her not exactly being the ideal house guest. So, I would have to go pick her up for this little get together you want us to have.
ERIC: I'm sorry about all of that. She’s your best friend still.
QUINN: Yeah. Anyway, let's talk about something else. The last person that I want to talk about is Brooke Logan, of all people.
ERIC: Quinn, I truly wish that the two of you would become friends.
QUINN: That’s a dream to have. We need a Genie to come out of a lamp and then for you to use that as one of your wishes, for Brooke and I to become friends. Eric, she tried to end our marriage just a week ago.
ERIC: I’ll never let that happen.
QUINN: Good. I’m glad to hear that. Look, I gotta get going. I have a massage schedule for 11:30 and I’d like to get a manicure done before then.
Quinn grabs her purse off a nearby table and gives Eric a kiss.
QUINN: I love you, Eric.
ERIC: I love you too, Quinn.
Quinn smiles, nods, and walks off.
Back at Il Giardino, Liam sits down across from Hope. Hope shuts off her tablet and puts it into her bag. She then zips up her bag.
HOPE: Mom and I think that Thomas is once again using Douglas to get what he wants. And, what he wants right now, in my opinion, is Zoe Buckingham. That’s plain as day to see. I don’t know why. But, my guess is that he wants to scheme with her. After all, we all know how Zoe came to town.
LIAM: I think she’s changed since then.
HOPE: Me too. But, we all know how manipulative Thomas can be.
LIAM: Very true. I thought you should know that I had quite the discussion with him yesterday. It furthered exemplified what type of person he is.
HOPE: Do tell.
LIAM: Well, I confronted him about what you just said. The whole Zoe thing, I mean. I also told him that I see him for the real, horrific person he is. I also told him that I wanted to protect you against him.
HOPE: Thank you. That’s very sweet.
LIAM: Of course.
HOPE: Look, I don’t know what the future holds when it comes to what Thomas will do next. He’s clearly a loose cannon. However, all I know is that I have to protect Douglas. I cannot let that little boy be caught in Thomas’ schemes. And, I won’t let it happen.
LIAM: Hope, I’m gonna help you.
HOPE: You don’t have to.
LIAM: As a father, I feel the need to protect a child in need. Plus, Douglas is like family to me. I love that little boy. That’s why I won’t let Thomas get away with a damn thing.
Hope rests her left hand on top of Liam’s left hand that’s on the table.
HOPE: Well, I appreciate that. Let’s save Douglas. Together.
Back at Forrester Creations, in the CEO Office, Thomas goes over to Taylor.
THOMAS: Mom, what are you doing back from Paris?
TAYLOR: I felt as though I was needed. Clearly, I was. After all, once again, Brooke Logan is trashing my children all over this damn town. It has always been funny to me how you trash Steffy and Thomas. After all, how did you get your precious Hope?
BROOKE: Taylor, it’s clear to see that your son is unstable. My daughter has just been trying to stop him from using your grandson for his own personal gain. Don’t you find what Thomas has been doing, including what he did to your daughter…, his own sister, repulsive?
TAYLOR: Thomas is trying to get through that hiccup. And, Steffy is trying to make peace with the whole situation.
THOMAS: Thanks for backing me up.
TAYLOR: Don’t thank me yet. I’m not finished. (going to Brooke) Listen here, Brooke. And, you listen good. I’m here to stay. You have trashed Thomas all over this town. You pushed him off a cliff. You don’t have any room left to talk.
BROOKE: What I did was an accident.
TAYLOR: Was it, Brooke? You’ve had plenty of accidents in your life. Or, at least that’s how you view every mistake you’ve made. Was sleeping with Deacon an accident? Was sleeping with Bill an accident? Was that time you let Whip Jones pretend to be Hope’s father an accident? Oh, and my personal favorite, were all those times you stole Ridge away from me just accidents? The answer to all of those questions is a resounding “no.” God, I wish Stephanie was here to slap you into next year. But, since she’s not, I guess I will.
BROOKE: What?
Taylor slaps Brooke across the face.
TAYLOR: Stay away from my children, you slut from the valley.
The camera cuts to Thomas, who is shocked. Then, it cuts back to Brooke, who isn’t sure what to make of the situation. Finally, it zooms in on a determined Taylor.
