B&B 3: Feb. 19, 2020

The Bold & The Beautiful Wednesday 2/19/2020

Episode 3
Time of Day: Same Day; Evening

At Zoe’s Loft, in the Living Room, Zoe is sitting on the couch and drinking a glass of wine. She is also flipping through a fashion magazine that includes a picture of Jessica Forrester in a designer gown.

ZOE: Wow. That Jessica Forrester is really tearing up that dress! I love that look on her. I wonder where I can get that gown.

As Zoe flips the page, there’s a knock at her door. She lets out a sigh and puts down her glass of wine and magazine on the coffee table. She then stands and goes to the door.

ZOE: (opening the door) Thomas, what are you doing here?

THOMAS: You got a second to talk?

ZOE: Sure thing. What’s up?

THOMAS: I just wanted you to know how I feel about you.

At Mercy Hospital Center, in the Waiting Area, Sally and Katie walk over to the waiting area. Sally takes a deep breath.

SALLY: Thank you for meeting me here on such short notice.

KATIE: Of course. I’m glad that you let me come with you.

SALLY: After the conversation I had with Wyatt about two hours ago, I’m glad that you’re here as my support system, and not him.

KATIE: It went that bad?

SALLY: I can’t have him hurt Flo like that. I don’t want a man to be pining after me just because I’m sick. Granted, he said he only wanted to be a part of my support system. But, we all know that Wyatt and I have too much history for him just to be a part of my support system.

KATIE: True. Anyway, does the Doctor really know what’s up with you?

SALLY: I guess. He even called in a specialist like you offered to do. He says that he finally has a name and a course of treatment. Fingers crossed that we can finally get to the bottom of everything. I don’t know how much longer I can take not knowing what I’m truly going through.

At the Forrest Estate, in the Guest House, Brooke enters the guest house. Ridge shuts the door and turns around to face Brooke.

ANNOUNCER: The role of Ridge Forrester is now being played by, Grayson McCouch.

RIDGE: Hi, Logan.

BROOKE: Hi.

RIDGE: What brings you by? Are you wanting to continue talking about the possibility of me moving back into the mansion? Our home.

BROOKE: We can talk about that, Ridge. However, right now, I want to talk to you about what’s going on with Taylor.

RIDGE: Taylor? What about Taylor?

BROOKE: You haven’t heard?

RIDGE: Logan, what’s going on here?

BROOKE: She’s back in town, Ridge. And, she’s on the warpath.

At the Forrester Mansion, in the Foyer, Taylor is standing at the opened door. She and Eric are just coming off of a hug.

ERIC: It’s so good to see you, Taylor.

TAYLOR: It’s wonderful to see you too, Eric.

ERIC: Please, come in.

Taylor enters the home and Eric shuts the door.

ERIC: (turning around) How are you doing, darling?

TAYLOR: Very well. Yourself?

ERIC: Same here. Anyway, what are you doing back in town? And, please tell me that you’re staying longer than your usual short visits? This town just isn’t the same without you.

TAYLOR: Thank you, Eric. And, yes, I’m staying for a long time. Like I told Steffy and Thomas, I even started renting an apartment.

ERIC: Really?

TAYLOR: Yes.

ERIC: So, you’ve been gone for awhile it feels like. What will be your first orders of business? I’m sure that you have a list of things to get through.

TAYLOR: You’re right, I do. And, I already started today. My mission is to patch things up in my family. Eric, the children have been broken for so long. I think that is in great part due to Brooke. That is why she is the first person I paid a visit to. And, I was sure to deliver a smackdown. Literally.

Back at Zoe’s Loft, in the Living Room, Zoe and Thomas are now standing face-to-face over by the couch. The door to the loft is now closed.

ZOE: You want to go on a date with me?

THOMAS: Yes. I would like to see where things go.

ZOE: Really?

THOMAS: Yeah. Would you like that?

ZOE: I’m not sure, Thomas.

THOMAS: Why not? What’s going on?

ZOE: I’m honestly not sure that I should be falling for someone like you. After all that happened last year with that baby, I’m not sure I can do this. It would hurt too many people.

THOMAS: To hell with what other people say. Why should that hold you back?

ZOE: (sighs) Thomas, that’s not the only thing holding me back.

THOMAS: Then, what is?

ZOE: Me saying goodbye.

THOMAS: Uh? I don’t understand.

ZOE: I’m leaving LA and California as a whole.

THOMAS: What? Why?

ZOE: For a couple of days now, I’ve contemplated going back to London to be involved in this internship at a museum that is all about mixing the history of art with the history of fashion. I put my name down on the list and submitted an application. They accepted my application yesterday.

THOMAS: Zoe…

ZOE: This is my last night here.

THOMAS: This all seems so sudden.

ZOE: Well, that’s how life changes sometimes.

THOMAS: Can I buy you a goodbye drink?

ZOE: I would love that, Thomas. I really would, despite everything. A drink couldn’t hurt anybody. At least, I don’t think so.

THOMAS: Same here. I’ll even buy you dinner.

ZOE: That might be crossing a line.

THOMAS: Then, a drink it is. Just a drink.

ZOE: Sounds good. I’ll get my purse.

Zoe walks off.

THOMAS: (sighs) Damn. My whole plan was for nothing.

Back at the Forrester Mansion, in the Foyer, Taylor sets her handbag down on the foyer table by the crystal vase that is filled with a beautiful arrangement of red roses.

ERIC: Taylor, do you think you and Brooke will ever stop fighting?

TAYLOR: I don’t know. Do you think she’ll ever stop going after me and my children? Eric, my issues with Brooke didn’t just come into fruition overnight. She has been targeting me ever since I came to town to treat Caroline’s cancer.

ERIC: That’s a bit of an exaggeration.

TAYLOR: I can’t help it that she still has my voodoo doll and is sticking the pins in it every night. (sighs) I miss Stephanie. She understood where I was coming from everytime with Brooke.

ERIC: I get it too, Taylor. I had a front row seat for every squabble you and Brooke have had these past decades. I just wish it would die down. We are all of a certain age now. It’s time we start acting like it.

TAYLOR: Eric, even though you’ve had a front row seat to every back and forth fight, doesn’t mean you understand how deep the emotions run between Brooke and I’s feud. Yes, you and Stephanie always got involved because of Ridge and the children. But, that’s not the only reason I ever hated Brooke or despised her.

ERIC: Look, I’m glad you’re back in town. I’m also glad that you are trying to patch things up between Steffy and Thomas. Yet, I do want to pass on a piece of advice to you. Live for the now and the future. Don’t let Brooke determine what you do in your day-to-day life. Live your truth, Taylor. I beg of you.

TAYLOR: Eric, I take your advice to heart every time we see one another. I truly do. But, in order to live for me, I need to cut Brooke out of the lives of my children. That’s where the healing will begin. I promise you that I’m right.

Still on the Forrester Estate, back in the Guest House, Ridge crosses over to the other side of Brooke. Brooke turns to fully face him.

RIDGE: I don’t understand. Taylor slapped you?

BROOKE: Yes, after she went on a tirade of defending Thomas. I know he is the son you share with her. And, I know that part of what has gone on between Thomas and myself, because of the whole baby Beth situation, is the reason you’re in this guest house right now and not with me. But, Ridge…

RIDGE: No, I get what you mean, Logan. For Taylor to slap you at your own work was uncalled for. Did she say anything else to you?

BROOKE: She did call me the slut from the Valley.

RIDGE: There’s something I haven’t heard in awhile.

BROOKE: It was childish, Ridge.

RIDGE: I don’t disagree with you. I have been dying for you to accept Thomas, or at least forgive him. Yet, I don’t think that I need Taylor’s help in us trying to not have him as a factor in any issue of our marriage.

BROOKE: Taylor once again is blowing things out of proportion.

RIDGE: Maybe I should talk to her.

BROOKE: I was hoping you would say that.

RIDGE: Really?

BROOKE: Yes. As I told Hope, before I came over here, I think you are the only one who can reach Taylor. She has always taken what you say into account for any decision. You will always have a strong say in Taylor’s life because she wants it that way.

RIDGE: Do you know where she’s staying?

BROOKE: I don’t.

RIDGE: Alrighty. I’m sure that one of the kids does.

BROOKE: Probably.

RIDGE: I’ll see her tonight.

BROOKE: Thank you, Ridge. I really hope she isn’t still unhinged.

RIDGE: Same here. When Doc gets a certain way…

BROOKE: I know. I’ve seen it all too many times.

RIDGE: Amen to that.

Back at Mercy Hospital Center, in Doctor Booth’s Office, Doctor Booth takes a seat behind his desk. Katie and Sally take a seat in front of his desk in two, leather chairs.

SALLY: Doctor Booth, before you say whatever you have to, I want you to know that I grant full permission for Katie Logan to hear what will be said.

DR. BOOTH: Thank you for letting me know, Miss Spectra. Before we begin, can I get you anything? Tea? Coffee? Water?

SALLY: I’m fine, thank you.

DR. BOOTH: What about you, Miss Logan?

KATIE: I’m good as well, thank you. I’m just here for Sally.

DR. BOOTH: Alrighty then. Sally, whatever is attacking your body seemed to progress rather quickly in your bloodstream in the scans I had done of your entire body. I initially didn’t know what could be attacking your bloodstream at such a quick rate. That is why I immediately called in a specialist. Doctor Burke helped me narrow down what could be going on with you. From his recommendations, I investigated a lot further and finally came to a conclusion.

SALLY: Doctor Booth, what is going on with me exactly?

DR. BOOTH: Miss Spectra, you have what’s called Myeloma.

KATIE: What is that, Doctor? What is Sally up against?

DR. BOOTH: Miss Spectra, you do have a form of cancer.

SALLY: (to herself) Cancer. Oh God.

DR. BOOTH: Myeloma is a cancer of the plasma cells. As you may know, those are the white blood cells that in turn produce antibodies for your body that fight off infections and disease. The type of cancer you have can impact that production. This can leave your immune system very weak. I’m afraid to say that you do have one of the most aggressive cases I’ve ever seen.

SALLY: Stop. Doctor, I want you to stop.

DR. BOOTH: Miss Spectra, what is it?

KATIE: Sally…?

SALLY: I can’t hear it anymore. I can’t hear how I’m dying. I just can’t.

A choked up Sally collects herself and abruptly leaves the room.

KATIE: Doctor, I’m sorry. Please excuse me.

DR. BOOTH: Of course.

Katie exits the room. Outside of Doctor Booth’s Office, Sally is sitting down in a chair. She is lightly sobbing. Katie crouches down next to her.

KATIE: Shhh. Come here, honey.

Katie takes a crying Sally in her arms.
