Episode 6
Time of Day: Same Day; Afternoon
At the Spencer Mansion, in the Living Room, Katie is sitting on the couch. She is having a cup of tea and looking through some photos of her and Bill’s first wedding. Then, she hears the front door open and close. Katie turns off her iPAD and looks over at Bill, who enters the room. They smile at one another and Katie walks over to him.

KATIE: I missed you so much.

BILL: I missed you too.
Katie and Bill kiss one another and hug.
At Taylor’s Apartment, in the Living Room, Taylor enters the room. She has a cup of iced tea in her hand. She goes over to the couch. But, before she can sit, there’s a knock at the door. Taylor puts down the glass on the coffee table, lets out a sigh, and goes to the door.

TAYLOR: (opening the door) Brooke, hi.

BROOKE: Hello, Taylor.
TAYLOR: What are you doing here? And, how did you find out where I live now?
BROOKE: Those aren’t the questions that should be asked here. The only question that needs to be asked is why in the hell you thought you could have any say in my damn marriage to Ridge?
At Forrester Creations, in the Design Room, Ridge is pinning some fabric swatches to a design mannequin. Thomas enters the room, holding rolls of fabric. He sets them on a table.

RIDGE: Thanks for bringing those rolls of fabric down here, son.

THOMAS: No problem, dad. Can I get you anything else?
RIDGE: Perhaps some form of conversation? I need to take a break from pinning fabric on this mannequin, trying to decide what goes best with this dress Sally designed.
THOMAS: You got it.
Ridge sets down a handful of pins next to the rolls of fabric.
THOMAS: What do you want to talk about?
RIDGE: How are things going between you and your sister? Your mother told me that she's trying to heal things between the two of you at a more accelerated rate.
THOMAS: That’s correct. But, to tell you the truth, I do have my doubts on if it’ll work or not. I just feel as though mom’s masterful plan is going to come to a screeching halt.
Still at Forrester Creations, in the CEO Office, Steffy is sitting behind the desk. She is looking through some emails on her laptop. As she clicks on the next email from the marketing team, there’s a knock at the door.
STEFFY: (calling out) Come in!
As Steffy closes her laptop, Sally enters.
STEFFY: Sally, what can I do for you?
SALLY: I was hoping that you would have a minute to talk?
Sally walks up to Steffy’s desk.
STEFFY: Sure thing. Do we need to discuss Hope’s upcoming collection for her fashion line? Are you and my father still having trouble deciding on what to go with?
SALLY: No, not at all. At first Ridge took issues with my designs. Though recently, he is starting to like them a little more. And, so is Hope.
STEFFY: That’s good. I’ve always been a fan of your designs for this company.
SALLY: Thank you. That means a lot, Steffy. Anyway, to answer your question, I’m not here to talk about Hope’s upcoming collection.
STEFFY: Oh? Well, how can I help you then?
SALLY: I’m hoping that you will accept my resignation.
STEFFY: Excuse me?
Back at the Spencer Mansion, in the Living Room, Katie and Bill come off the hug.
KATIE: How was your trip to Switzerland? And, how’s our little boy?
BILL: The trip was fine and Will is doing really well at his new boarding school.
KATIE: I’m so happy to hear that. I’m also happy to hear that he has Douglas there now. Those two can become best friends and look after one another.
BILL: I thought the same thing. What have you been upto today?
KATIE: I was just looking through some photos of our very first wedding.
BILL: Were you now?
KATIE: Yes.
BILL: You look so incredibly stunning that day.
KATIE: And, you looked so handsome.
BILL: That day is still one of the best days of my life.
KATIE: Mine too. That is why I had a thought, Bill.
BILL: Oh yeah?
KATIE: Yeah.
BILL: And, what is this idea of your’s?
KATIE: How would you feel about a commitment ceremony?
Back at Forrester Creations, in the CEO Office, Steffy stands from her chair and comes out from behind her desk. She turns around and faces Sally.
STEFFY: Sally, if this has to do with how much you’re getting paid, I’m sure that me and my father can somehow renegotiate your contract with our legal team.
SALLY: No, that’s not it. This has nothing to do with money.
STEFFY: Okay. Then, what does it have to do with? I thought you were very happy here at Forrester. I know that it has sometimes been hard to learn under my father’s leadership, considering how hard he can be when it comes to what designs we pick for a collection, but overall, I thought you two had started a good, collaborative relationship.
SALLY: Steffy, we have. Everything is going great. We have finally started to collaborate really well. And, I was looking forward to the future between our working relationship, until…
STEFFY: Until what? Sally, what is it?
SALLY: Steffy, I’m dying. I have cancer.
Still at Forrester Creations, back in the Design Room, Thomas is sitting on the tables that he put the fabric on, where Ridge’s pins are as well.
RIDGE: Are you not hopeful for you and your sister’s sibling bond?
THOMAS: No, I am. That’s not what I meant. I’m just saying that with everyone walking on eggshells around me and talking behind my back, because of what I did, it’s gonna be awfully hard to heal things between Steffy and I.
RIDGE: Thomas, you regret what you did. Right?
THOMAS: Of course.
RIDGE: Then, that’s all Steffy needs to know. That’s all I need to know. That’s all your mother needs to know. Anyone else’s opinion doesn’t matter. If people continue to talk behind your back, don’t let that bother you. Even Brooke and I are working to get back to one another. I’m not gonna lie, that comes with a big discussion about you. But, I even think that she’s ready to forgive you in some fashion, or at least be civil.
THOMAS: I’d really like that, dad.
RIDGE: I would too. We need a little happiness in this family.
THOMAS: I agree, one-hundred percent.
Back at Taylor’s Apartment, in the Living Room, Brooke brushes passed Taylor and barges into the apartment. Taylor turns around, shuts the door, and goes to Brooke.
TAYLOR: I take it that Ridge told you all about my suggestion.
BROOKE: Yes he did. What the hell is wrong with you, Taylor?
TAYLOR: Nothing is wrong with me, Brooke. For the first time in a long time, I am finally making sense of everything. You pushed my son off of a cliff. Ridge moved out because of that. I think that it’s time to end this relationship between you two once and for all. What you did was completely unforgivable. You could’ve killed our child.
BROOKE: I regret what I did to Thomas everyday. Unlike your son, I can admit when I’ve done something wrong to someone.
TAYLOR: Brooke, Thomas has admitted what he has done wrong. He is now being given a second chance, which he wants to make the most of. Listen, if you don’t stay out of his way, I will do something about it.
BROOKE: Are you threatening me, Taylor?
TAYLOR: I’m doing what I’ve always done, Brooke. I’m looking out for the best interest of my children. Unlike you who only cares about sleeping with their significant others.
BROOKE: Oh my god! Do you really want to throw my own history at me? Should we start out with you being so unstable as an alcoholic that Nick had to take your own son from you one time?
TAYLOR: Funny that you should mention Jack.
BROOKE: Why do you say that?
TAYLOR: I had a talk with him yesterday. He called me ‘mom,’ of course. And, he is even on his way back to LA, with his shiny, new Harvard business degree. You see, Brooke, no matter how much you try to seperate me and my children from one another, they always come back. And, even the one that’s biologically your’s from your daughter’s incompetent screw up, still loves me as a mother. Not you.
BROOKE: Taylor, I don’t care what you have to say about anything besides my marriage. Don’t get in the way of Ridge and I again. Or else, you’ll be the one regretting your decisions.
The camera cuts back and forth between Brooke and Taylor who both have determined expressions. The camera zooms in closer and closer on both of them with each cut.
