The Bold & The Beautiful Thursday 2/20/2020

Episode 4
Time of Day: Same Day; Night

At Il Giardino, Shauna is still sitting at the bar. She is sipping on another martini. Quinn enters the establishment, spots Shauna, and goes up to her.

QUINN: Well, hi, bestie.

SHAUNA: Hey, girl! Take a seat.

Quinn smiles and sits next to Shauna.

QUINN: What exactly are you doing drinking alone?

SHAUNA: I was having a drink with Flo. But, she had to run off.

QUINN: I see. Does it have anything to do with her and my son?

SHAUNA: Yes. I don’t think that she and Wyatt are in a good place ever since Wyatt found out about Sally Spectra being ill.

QUINN: Oh, I hope things work out for them.

SHAUNA: Me too. I told her to go fight for Wyatt. And, God, I really do hope that’s what she’s doing at this very moment.

At Spencer Publications, in Wyatt’s Office, Flo enters the office. Wyatt shuts the door, turns around, and goes over to her.

FLO: I was surprised that you were still here so late in the day.

WYATT: I’ve fallen behind on some work lately. Thought I’d play catch up.

FLO: I see. Anyway, thank you for fitting me into your schedule.

WYATT: Of course. So, why’d you want to see me?

FLO: Well, Wyatt, to tell you the truth, I wanted to see you tonight to tell you that I still want to be with you. That’s only if you still want that too.

At Sally’s Apartment, in the Living Room, Katie and Sally enter the room. Katie closes the front door behind them. They walk over to the couch.

KATIE: Can I get you anything, Sally? Perhaps something to eat?

SALLY: I’m fine. Thank you for driving me home.

KATIE: No problem. I don’t think you were in any condition to drive. I’ve already sent someone from a service to get your car brought back here.

SALLY: You didn’t have to do that.

KATIE: I wanted to.

SALLY: Thank you. (sighs) Anyway, I don’t want to keep you from Will any longer. If you need to get home to tuck him in…

KATIE: I have staff members and Bill for that. Sally, you just got a true diagnosis. I want to be here for you. I’m not going anywhere. I want to be your shoulder to cry on.

On the Forrester Estate, at the Guest House, Taylor and Ridge are in the main part of the guest house. They are standing across from one another.

RIDGE: I’m glad that I didn’t have to track you down to your new apartment.

TAYLOR: Yeah, it makes things a little easier. I had to come visit your father.

RIDGE: I know. You always do when you’re in town, Doc. He loves seeing you.

TAYLOR: The feelings are mutual. Same goes for you, Ridge.

RIDGE: Thank you. It’s good to see you too.

TAYLOR: I’m just gonna cut right to the chase here. I would love to know why you wanted to see me. I have a feeling it wasn’t just to reconnect.

RIDGE: In a way it is exactly about that.

TAYLOR: Oh yeah?

RIDGE: Yeah. Doc, don’t get me wrong, I’m happy to have you back in LA for what appears to be a long term stay. However, I can’t help but wonder why.

TAYLOR: I’ve missed the kids, Ridge. Better yet, I’ve missed them being in a happy and healthy sibling relationship. They clearly needed me. I not only need to analyze them from a psychology perspective, but I need to look at them from a motherly perspective too. I have a lot of work cut out for me. I realized right away that I couldn’t do that on a normal two week trip.

RIDGE: I know you care about the kids. I do too. Taylor, Brooke came over earlier this evening. She told me about you slapping her at Forrester Creations and then promptly calling her the slut from the Valley.

TAYLOR: I had every right to slap her, Ridge. My God, you’re in this guest house because you couldn’t take what she did to Thomas. I can’t take it either. I know what Thomas did was despicable. But, he deserves a second chance. What he doesn’t deserve, however, is that fire breathing dragon lady on his case 24/7. And, if I had to do what I did to her this morning, all over again, I wouldn’t change a damn thing.

At the Spencer Beach House, in the Living Room, Steffy and Liam step into the room. It is apparent that Liam has just arrived.

LIAM: Is Kelly asleep?

STEFFY: Yeah. I just got her down not too long ago.

LIAM: I’m glad that she’s sleeping a little better.

STEFFY: She’s been growing in a lot of teeth lately. It has really been bothering her. I was surprised that I was able to get her down so quickly.

LIAM: That’s good.

STEFFY: What brings you by, Liam? Do you need to crash on my couch again?

LIAM: No, I don’t think that’s a good idea. Sorry for putting you out like that.

STEFFY: It was no trouble at all, Liam. You’re always welcomed here.

LIAM: Thank you.

STEFFY: How’s Hope?

LIAM: She’s alright.

STEFFY: Still raging war against Thomas? Or, has she flipped the script once again?

LIAM: Steffy, come on. Do we really have to go down that road?

STEFFY: Now that my mother is back in town, I would say yes.

LIAM: Taylor’s back here in LA?

STEFFY: She just got back today. Yet, that didn’t stop her from trying to heal things between Thomas and I. Thomas and I did end up turning over a new leaf.

LIAM: I guess that’s good for the two of you.

STEFFY: What do you mean by that? I know you want him to stay away from your precious Hope, but Thomas and I turning over a new leaf is good for everyone.

LIAM: Let’s just hope that this new leaf of his includes the elimination of using his son as bait and his constant attacking of Hope’s emotions.

Back at Spencer Publications, in Wyatt’s Office, Wyatt and Flo walk over to the couch in the office. They both sit down next to one another.

FLO: When I heard that Sally had been given only a month to live, I thought that it’d be a good idea for me to essentially give you up, so you could go be with her. But, Wyatt, I realized that my feelings for you would never heal from that.

WYATT: Flo, I went over to Forrester Creations today to visit Sally. We had a long talk about me being involved in her life, when it comes to her being sick.

FLO: And…?

WYATT: And, we basically reached a conclusion. Sally agrees with you. Which in turn, led to me agreeing with you. Walking away from you, to be apart of Sally’s support system, would hurt you and my feelings for you in the end.

FLO: You still have feelings for me?

WYATT: Of course I do. Not a day goes by where I don’t. I know that things have gotten complicated where Sally and I’s history is concerned. However, she told me how things need to go down. Everyone needs to stay in their respected corners. I want to be in a corner with you. That’s all fine and good, as long as you’ll have me.

FLO: I want you forever, Wyatt. Forever and always.

Wyatt and Flo stare longingly into one another’s eyes. Then, Wyatt leans in and kisses Flo passionately, caressing her cheeks.

Back at Sally’s Apartment, in the Living Room, Sally and Katie are sitting on the couch.

KATIE: So, how do you feel about Doctor Booth’s outlined treatment plan?

SALLY: I’m nervous about the chemotherapy aspect. And, I’m also nervous about the possibility of an autotransplantation.

KATIE: He only said that surgery would be necessary if your plasma continues to be attacked at the rate it is right now. However, the chemotherapy should slow that down to the point where that surgery wouldn’t be needed.

SALLY: I know, Katie. It’s just with the luck I’m having right now, that surgery would probably shoot to the top of the list of things that would need to be done to save my life.

KATIE: At least this treatment plan would give you longer than a month to live, as originally projected by other medical professionals at the hospital.

SALLY: True. You know, to tell you the truth, when Doctor Booth told me that I had cancer, I started to think of something I haven’t thought of before.

KATIE: What’s that?

SALLY: I want to quit my job at Forrester.

KATIE: Sally, why?

SALLY: I’ve saved up for a long time now for a dream vacation. I always thought that it would come in the form of a honeymoon or a getaway with my best friends. But, I can see that the trip needs to happen now more than ever. Quitting Forrester would give me the time to truly see the
world. Tomorrow, I’m going to look into getting the all clear from my doctor. And, then, it's a bon voyage for me.

KATIE: Does that mean you wouldn’t come back to LA ever?

SALLY: No. I’ll just be gone for a couple of weeks.

KATIE: If you want, you can use the Spencer jet.

SALLY: Seriously?

KATIE: Yes. It’s all yours, under one condition.

SALLY: Name it.

KATIE: You send me a postcard from every place you visit.

SALLY: (laughs) Deal.

Sally wipes away some tears and hugs Katie.

KATIE: I’m gonna miss you, my dear friend.

SALLY: I’m going to miss you too.

KATIE: (coming off hug) Have a safe trip, okay?

SALLY: Of course I will.

KATIE: And, call me if you need anything.

SALLY: Definitely. Thank you for always being here for me.

KATIE: (smiling) My pleasure.

Back at the Spencer Beach House, in the Living Room, Steffy crosses her arms.

STEFFY: I won’t let you attack Thomas in this house, Liam. No matter what he has done before, I won’t just let you stand there and do that.

LIAM: Sorry. I realize that I crossed a line.

STEFFY: (uncrossing arms) You think? When my mother was here today, she definitely tried to heal Thomas and I’s broken relationship. Thomas and I even decided to go on a path of forgiveness.

LIAM: I’m happy for you two. But, it can’t be ignored what he has done to Douglas and Hope. He manipulated his son’s emotion throughout the whole baby thing.

STEFFY: Liam, I hate to say it, but you’ve damaged Hope too. I’ve damaged Hope. Everyone has damaged Queen Hope. But, I was also damaged as well throughout that whole thing. It’s not just about my nephew and Hope. I was involved, as a victim, when it came to that coverup.

LIAM: I know, I know, I know. I didn’t mean to make your feelings seem non-existent.

STEFFY: In a way, you did. That whole situation was very hard for me because I not only had to get over the initial shock that I had, but I also had to get over giving up a child, and then having to deal with the plan that my brother helped set in motion. I will have to get through a lot with Thomas. But, I want that to start now. And, by berating Thomas every chance you get, it doesn’t help. People in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones, and I’m trying to learn that lesson myself.

Back on the Forrester Grounds, at the Guest House, Taylor lets out a sigh.

TAYLOR: Brooke has wreaked havoc on our lives for so long.

RIDGE: Taylor, Brooke has only done what she feels is right for all these years.

TAYLOR: I know you’re still married to her. But, did you just defend all of her actions these past decades? Do you not remember when you tried to vote her out of Forrester on the grounds of mental incompetence, and then tried to make her shares invaluable by leaving the voting decisions up to the board when she was majority shareholder? And, then, she fired back at you by making your whole plea invalid. Ridge, she has undermined you in more ways than one through the years. How you can even stand to be married to her is beyond me.

RIDGE: Brooke has done a lot of things to hurt me, yes. However, my faults cannot be ignored. Taylor, your faults cannot be ignored either.

TAYLOR: When it comes to our children, only Brooke’s faults matter. I say that because she has always made it appoint to but in where she isn’t needed. I know she has been Steffy and Thomas’ stepmother 283 times over, but that doesn’t matter in this situation. She needs to be blocked out of the equation. And, until you see that, I’m not sure you should be involved in our children’s lives either.

RIDGE: Do you not see where I am right now? I sided with Thomas. That is why I am in this guest house, not living with Brooke.

TAYLOR: If you really want to side with Thomas, Ridge, your own son, then you would get a lawyer and divorce Brooke right this very second.

Back at Il Giardino, Quinn is now drinking a glass of white wine.

SHAUNA: Any updates on the Brooke situation recently?

QUINN: Nothing to report. I’m still trying to take her down, that’s if she continues to get involved in situations she doesn’t belong in.

SHAUNA: Damn, you are a firecracker, Quinn. I love that.

QUINN: She’s not gonna hurt you, Shauna. Brooke has known Eric for 33 years. In those 33 years, she has pulled every trick in the book. I have a feeling, because of what she has done to his family over those decades, he has a watchful eye. They may be friends now, but I’m confident that Eric will always side with me.

SHAUNA: 33 years is a long time, Quinn. However, it seems to me that Brooke has been knocked down a lot of times in those years. Maybe she needs to experience a knock down once more.

QUINN: She will.

SHAUNA: My daughter may be her niece, but there’s no love there. That’s why anytime you want to take down Brooke, just give me a call.

QUINN: Oh, I will. I definitely will.

Quinn smiles and takes a sip of her wine.
