Episode 2
Time of Day: Same Day; Afternoon
At Forrester Creations, in the CEO Office, Brooke walks over to the bar cart in the office. She wipes away a tear from her face. She then begins to stare at the whiskey and the vodka that are in glass, crystal beverage holders. As she touches one, there’s a knock at the door. A startled Brooke collects herself.

BROOKE: (calling out) Come in!
Hope enters the room and closes the door.

HOPE: Mom, I just got your text. What’s going on? It sounded urgent.
Hope rushes over to Brooke and hugs her.
HOPE: Are you okay?
BROOKE: Yes, I’m fine, honey.
HOPE: Okay. What’s going on?
BROOKE: Taylor is back in town again.
HOPE: What?
BROOKE: It’s true. She just paid me a visit.
HOPE: Do you know how she feels about what Thomas is doing?
BROOKE: Funny that you should mention him. I was actually talking to him when she barged into this office. Anyway, she took his side on everything and called me a name that I won’t even repeat to you. She also hauled off and slapped me.
HOPE: She did what?! Oh my god!
BROOKE: After everything that’s happened between us the past almost 30 years, I don’t blame her. I just wish why I knew she was taking Thomas’ side. Yes, she’s his mother. However, mother’s can still love their children and admit when they’ve done terrible things. My guess is that Taylor is once again not well.
At the Spencer Beach House, in the Living Room, Steffy, Taylor, and Thomas enter the room. They are all laughing and having a joyous time.
STEFFY: I’m so happy that you’re back in town, mom.

TAYLOR: And, I’m here to stay. For real this time. I’m even renting an apartment.
STEFFY: Seriously?

THOMAS: Yeah, I didn’t know that either. For real?
TAYLOR: Yes. I have a lot of catching up to do on all that I’ve missed. And, that catching up starts right now, with the two of you.
THOMAS: What exactly does that mean?
TAYLOR: Well, all of us are not leaving this room till we hash some things out.
At Forrester Creations, in the Design Room, Sally is looking over some of her most recent designs. As she continues to flip through them on her iPAD, she takes a deep breath.
SALLY: Damn, I don’t think that Ridge is going to like any of these.
Sally shuts off her iPAD and goes over to a small table in the room. There, she pours herself a glass of water. As she takes a sip, she starts to sweat. She then sets down the glass of water. She feels as though she can’t catch her breath.
SALLY: God, what is going on with me?
Sally goes over to the desk and picks up her cell phone. She then scrolls through her contact and finds a contact that reads: MERCY HOSPITAL CENTER.
SALLY: Hopefully my doctor will have more answers for me on what I have exactly.
Before Sally can click on the contact, there’s a knock at the door. She shuts off her phone and sets it on the desk. She then straightens herself up.
SALLY: (calling out) Come in!
Wyatt enters the room, closing the door behind him.
SALLY: Wyatt, what are you doing here?
WYATT: Do you have a moment to talk?
SALLY: Sure. What’s up?
WYATT: I would like to talk about where we stand.
At Il Giardino, Shauna and Flo take a seat at the bar.
FLO: I’m so happy that we found time to set up this little mother/daughter date.

SHAUNA: Me too, sweet girl. Look, I want you to know that I’ve missed this. You know, true bonding time. I want to get back to being the real thing we used to be. And, I feel like we can finally do that with this whole living situation.
FLO: Me too, mom.
SHAUNA: Good. Now, what do you want to talk about?
FLO: (laughs) I don’t know.
SHAUNA: How about you and Wyatt?
FLO: Oh, God, let’s not even go there.
Back at Forrester Creations, in the Design Room, Sally comes out from behind the desk and walks over to Wyatt.
SALLY: What do you mean?
WYATT: I had a conversation with Flo last night.
SALLY: About me?
WYATT: Yes.
SALLY: Wyatt, just because Katie told all about what’s going on with me, or at least what I know so far, doesn’t mean you have to come crawling back to me.
WYATT: Sally, the last thing I want to do is make you feel as though you’re not strong and independent. I would just like to help you. Flo realizes that.
SALLY: I’m sure that all Flo sees is a man who would rather spend time with his ex than be with her. Trust me. I’ve been doing this girl thing for a long time.
WYATT: Sally, please, don’t shut me out. I want to help you fight.
SALLY: Wyatt, I’m not even sure what I have yet 100 percent. All the Doctor knows is that it’s terminal. How can you help me fight when I don’t even know what I’m fighting for?
WYATT: Sally, I can be your support system.
SALLY: No.
WYATT: Why not?
SALLY: Just go be with Flo. I’m not gonna allow you to pinball back and forth between us all because I’m sick. I’m not the type to play the damsel in distress card. If you really knew anything about me, you would know that.
WYATT: I hate to tell you this. But, I’m not going anywhere.
SALLY: You don’t get a say in the matter. Anyway, Katie still has me covered one hundred percent of the time. She isn’t backing away from being the only support system that I need. You know, she even went so beyond that she offered to find a specialist for me.
WYATT: That was nice of her.
SALLY: It was. So, as you can see, Katie has got me covered in the support department. Wyatt, I know it sounds like I’m being overly bitchy. But, Flo deserves to be happy too. She deserves to be cared for. Her feelings matter. I don’t have much time left. And, I wouldn’t want you to waste any time on me, when you could have all the time in the world with Flo. It just wouldn’t be fair to anybody. Okay?
Sally lets out a sigh and grabs her phone from the desk.
SALLY: I’m going to go make a call to my Doctor. Seya.
Sally walks out of the room.
Back at Il Giardino, Shauna and Flo are both enjoying martinis.
FLO: After you gave Wyatt and I some time alone yesterday, he poured his heart out to me about how he feels about the whole Sally situation. I feel for her, mom. I do. But, part of me…
SHAUNA: Wants to keep Wyatt?
FLO: Yes. Does that make me a bad person?
SHAUNA: Not at all. It’s in the blood of a Spencer man to ping pong between two women they have their eye on. Bill did it with Brooke and Katie. Liam does it every two seconds with Hope and Steffy. And, Wyatt’s doing it with you and Sally.
FLO: Great. I guess I’ll end up being another Spencer statistic.
SHAUNA: Not if you fight.
FLO: A dying lady?
SHAUNA: (laughs) No. Honey, all you have to do is fight for Wyatt. Show him that you still love him. He’ll come around.
FLO: I hope so. He’s a good man, mom.
SHAUNA: I know, honey.
FLO: I think you’re right. I think that I do need to find a way to get through to him. And, I believe that I can do just that.
Back at Forrester Creations, in the CEO Office, Hope sets her purse down on the conference table. She then turns around to face Brooke again.
HOPE: You think Taylor is still having a hard time coping with everything that she learned about and did last time she was in town?
BROOKE: Very much so.
HOPE: Mom, if she’s taking Thomas’ side on everything, especially after what Thomas is doing to Douglas and did to Steffy, there’s no telling if Taylor will be a loose cannon just like her son.
BROOKE: I mentioned the same thing to Taylor. She just came to Thomas’ defense. I don’t like this, Hope. I don’t like this one bit. I just wish I knew why Taylor really came back to town. Is it only because she wants to come to Thomas’ defense? Or, is there something more than what meets the eye?
HOPE: My guess is the latter.
BROOKE: You know what? There’s something I’ve gotta go do.
HOPE: What’s that?
BROOKE: Well, I think Ridge should know what’s going on here.
HOPE: Are you going to tell him everything that happened here today?
BROOKE: Of course. Ridge and Taylor have not been together for a long time now. However, he still has a way of getting to her. If anyone can get to the bottom of what’s going on with Taylor, and why she is continuing to act out, it’s Ridge.
Back at the Spencer Beach House, in the Living Room, Steffy, Taylor, and Thomas all take a seat on the living room furniture.
TAYLOR: Now, you two kids listen up. I know that the past year has been full of uncertainty and emotional highs and lows. However, you two are my sweet children. I know that you two love one another, even though it’s difficult right now. (voice breaking) When Phoebe passed…
STEFFY: Mom…
TAYLOR: (sniffles) When Phoebe passed away, I was so out of it. I didn’t know what was going on. The night seemed to hold no day. My life, your lives, and your father’s life were all just a pit of darkness. However, a beacon of hope for me, were you two. I know that we can get past all that has happened. We just have to unite and come together.
THOMAS: Steffy, I’m so sorry for everything that has happened. The baby. The way I treated you. What I did to Hope and Liam. I’m sorry for all of it. For the rest of my life, I will regret what I did to you. I can promise you that.
STEFFY: Thomas, we’ve talked about this a lot. And, I know that you’re sorry. I can see the remorese in your eyes. (sighs) I guess that I can start a much stronger path to forgiveness for what happened.
THOMAS: Really?
STEFFY: Yes. I love you, brother.
THOMAS: I love you too, sis.
Thomas and Steffy hug one another. Taylor smiles at them.
TAYLOR: Today, the future of this family truly begins.
Back at Forrester Creations, on the Executive Floor, Sally is taking a call from her Doctor out in the waiting area by Pam’s desk.
SALLY: (on the cell phone) So, you finally got it? You finally know what I’m fighting? Thank you so much for working day and night to figure it out. Yes, I can come to the hospital ASAP. I will see you there soon.
Sally hangs up the phone. The camera zooms in on her. She has a look of uncertainty, but also confidence to fight whatever is attacking her body.
