Episode 9
Time of Day: Same Day; Night
At the Forrester Mansion, in the Living Room, Eric and Quinn enter the room, having just come from the dining room.
QUINN: That was quite the dinner the chef made us.

ERIC: Yes, it most certainly was.
Quinn and Eric walk over to the bar cart. He hands her a martini. He has one as well.
QUINN: Thank you, darling.
ERIC: Of course.
QUINN: So, where’d you go earlier this evening? I was hoping we would’ve gotten some romantic time before dinner.
ERIC: That would’ve been nice. But, I had to go visit Ridge at Forrester.
QUINN: Oh? Is everything okay?
ERIC: Well, after that visit I’m reassured that everything is right on track. However, before I visited Ridge today, I wasn’t so sure.
QUINN: What do you mean?
ERIC: Ridge almost put his marriage to Brooke in jeopardy today. Or, at least I thought he had. Shauna went to visit him at the guest house today. And, we all know, that when it comes to she and my son, that’s just like playing with fire.
At Forrester Creations, in the Executive Office, Hope is sitting behind her laptop. She is looking through some sales projections from her clothing line. As she clicks on the next graph, there’s a sudden knock at the door.

HOPE: (calling out) Come in!
Brooke enters the room and shuts the door. Hope looks up.
HOPE: Hey, mom.
Brooke walks over to Hope.

BROOKE: Hi, honey.
HOPE: I thought you were already gone for the day.
BROOKE: I decided to stay a bit longer. That’s because I wanted to investigate a little something. And, I finally came to a conclusion from my findings. I just couldn’t wait to share them with you.
HOPE: Okay, I’m intrigued. What have you been investigating?
BROOKE: I’ve been looking into see if I could resurrect my BeLieF formula. And, I have found out that I most certainly could. I’m ready to bring back one of this company’s most legendary products. And, I can’t wait to see where it’ll take the company in this day and age.
Back at Forrester Creations, in the CEO Office, Steffy and Ridge are standing over by the conference table, face to face.

RIDGE: I can’t believe that Sally is leaving. She is really starting to learn her craft well. However, with her illness, I don’t blame her.
STEFFY: I was shocked about her diagnosis. I was even more shocked that she handed in a resignation. But, I definitely left the door open for her to return.
RIDGE: Very good. Smart choice. I completely agree with you. I will tell you this, we butt heads a lot in that design room. Yet, I think the kid does have major talent. I enjoy working with her. It’s going to be hard to find her replacement.
STEFFY: I agree. I haven’t even thought about any names on the shortlist.
RIDGE: Same here. You know, if you would like, I would love if you took the lead on this. Why don’t you find Sally’s new replacement?
STEFFY: You mean, without your input?
RIDGE: Exactly. I have so much confidence that you can find someone who will not only work well with me, but is also confident in their craft.
STEFFY: Oh, dad, I got you on this. I’m gonna find someone great.
RIDGE: I have no doubt about that.
At Flo’s Apartment, in the Living Room, Flo and Wyatt are sitting on the couch. Each of them is having a glass of red wine. Flo is pouring them each another glass.
FLO: So, Sally is really taking the dream trip of a lifetime?
WYATT: From what she told me, yes. She even quit Forrester today.
FLO: Wow. She truly is making some bold moves.
WYATT: Yes, she is. I just hope that in the end, she truly knows what she’s doing.
Back at the Forrester Mansion, in the Living Room, Quinn and Eric walk over to the couch and sit down. They both put their martini glasses on the coffee table.
QUINN: Shauna and Ridge didn’t do anything intimate, did they?
ERIC: No. Ridge told me that Shauna came over to tell Ridge that she still had feelings for him. And, she also told Ridge that if he didn’t go back to Brooke, that her door is always open.
QUINN: Seriously?
ERIC: Yes. It would appear as though Shauna is still heavily pining for Ridge. Quinn, he is committed to Brooke. I know that for sure. Shauna is the forbidden fruit and Ridge is in the Garden of Eden. But, this time, I think Ridge will turn away from the temptation.
QUINN: Eric, please. Shauna is my friend. I want you to know that I will try and get Shauna to stop pining for Ridge. However, I need you to not talk about her like she’s some viper who goes after married men just because. Ridge and Brooke are seperated.
ERIC: For reasons related to Shauna and Thomas. They are obstacles in their relationship. I just want my son to be happy. Quinn, you know the history...some of it. However, you have not been there to see it all. I have lived Ridge and Brooke’s love story for over 30 years. There have been a lot of Shaunas who have tried to break them apart.
QUINN: What are you saying?
ERIC: All I’m saying is that people like Shauna don’t separate Brooke and Ridge for long. And, it is clear that Ridge wants Brooke back like never before.
QUINN: Ridge has bed enough women that would populate a small village. He hasn’t exactly always wanted Brooke. You can talk about my friend all you want. However, I do have to say that you have to recognize that Ridge has gone after women other than Brooke.
ERIC: I do admit that. I’m just saying that I think Ridge doesn’t want Shauna. He was weak when he and Shauna first got together. However, since this separation, he has gotten stronger. I can sense it. He has more of a will to fight for his marriage and commitment to Brooke.
QUINN: For your sake, I hope you’re right.
Back at Flo’s Apartment, in the Living Room, Wyatt takes a sip of his wine.
FLO: Do you think Sally is making a mistake by going on this trip?
WYATT: She’s quitting her job. I mean, that is extreme.
FLO: She also has an extreme illness. Maybe it is time for desperate measures. I think that it’s pretty cool that Sally is going for the jugular and doing life her way.
WYATT: Maybe you’re right. Maybe it could be a good thing.
FLO: Anyway, Sally knows what’s next for her. But, do we know what’s next for us?
WYATT: Interesting that you say that. I’ve been thinking about that for awhile.
FLO: Okay. Do tell.
WYATT: First things first, I would like you to move in with me.
FLO: Really?
WYATT: Yes. I have a new house. And, I know that things can possibly get cramped in here with your mother being your roommate.
FLO: (laughs) Thanks for pointing that out.
WYATT: What do you say, Flo? Will you move in with me?
FLO: Now, Mr. Spencer, you do make a good case. But, I would like to think it over a little bit first. Do you mind if I sleep on it?
WYATT: Sleep on it all you want. My offer will stand indefinitely.
FLO: Now, that is something I like to hear.
Back at Forrester Creations, in the CEO Office, Steffy is sitting at the conference table. She is looking at a list of designers on her iPAD.
STEFFY: No. No. Not you. Definitely not you...you’re too much of a liability. Not you. Not you. Your last show was God awful. Oh. Wait a second here. Now, I hadn’t thought of you before. You are perfect for the job. I finally found Sally’s replacement. This idea is absolutely brilliant! How did I not think of this before?
Still at Forrester Creations, in the Executive Office, Hope comes out from behind her desk and walks over to Brooke.
HOPE: Mom, it’d be absolutely amazing to see you revive the BeLieF formula.
BROOKE: That’s exactly what I was thinking as well.
HOPE: What made you think about doing this?
BROOKE: Well, I was looking through an old file the other day and I came across an old news clipping of Ridge and I promoting BeLieF. It started out as some light reminiscing in my mind. But, then, it became so much more. I all of the sudden felt that sense of power and creativity that I felt all those years ago.
HOPE: Mom, this is going to be something great. Have you presented the idea to Ridge and Steffy yet? You could do it right now. They’re still here.
BROOKE: No, I haven’t presented the idea to Ridge and Steffy yet. And, I don’t want to. Not quite yet. That’s because I still need to make a proposal. But, before I make the proposal, I need to ask you something.
HOPE: Okay. Shoot.
BROOKE: How would you like to be my co-leader on this project?
HOPE: Seriously?
BROOKE: Yes. Hope, I can’t do this without you. And, I would love nothing more than to bring the past to the present with my beautiful, independent, smart, and all around great daughter.
HOPE: Mom, I would love nothing more than to work with you. (laughs) Let’s do it!
BROOKE: Yes! (laughs) We’re gonna rock it!
The camera zooms in on Brooke. She is smiling and hopeful for the future.
